Whitefish’s offense hit high gear in its 84-54 Northwestern A Conference victory over Libby on Tuesday, January 28. Both Carson Gulick and Will Sisson scored 18 points apiece in the win.

“I believe we are improving and figuring out certain rotations out,” Whitefish Head Coach Alex Gonzalez said. “The game against Libby showed us how we can play as a unit.”

After leading by one in the first quarter, the Bulldogs outscored Libby by 11 points in the second quarter for a 35-23 halftime lead. Whitefish then scored 28 points in the third quarter to really take command of the game.

“When Aiden Rickels came in, he was able to give us an incredible spark with his tenacity on defense,” Gonzalez said. “In addition, Will Sisson gave us energy and was red hot from the field. I feel like we are figuring things out. With both of these guys on the floor, our dynamic changes. Carson has been playing well and gave us huge offense against Libby.”

Twelve different Whitefish players scored in the game. Aiden Rickels had nine points, while CJ Thew notched eight, and Cooper Dudley added five.

It was Whitefish’s fourth win of the season.
