SANDPOINT — Two Bonner County law enforcement officers were honored last week by the Bonner County Sheriff’s Office.

Last Wednesday, BCSO officials paid tribute to two deputies, both of whom served over 20 years of service.

The Bonner County Sheriff’s Office, in a Facebook post this past Tuesday, expressed their gratitude for Sergeant Chris Bell and Deputy Don Alt who retired Jan. 29. Both officers earned a plaque of appreciation for their service, with Sergeant Bell serving over 27 years in the force and Deputy Alt serving over 20 years.

“Sheriff (Daryl) Wheeler expressed his appreciation to each for their decades of dedication, commitment, and professionalism to the Bonner County Sheriff's Office and to the citizens of Bonner County,” BCSO officials said. "They both will be missed by their peers and take with them sincere thanks and wishes for an amazing future in retirement.”
