Wildkats pick up big Northwest A win over Ronan

COLUMBIA FALLS — Taryn Borgen scored 14 points, including four 3-pointers and Columbia Falls completed a home sweep of the Ronan Chiefs in a 50-40 Northwest A girls basketball win Friday night. 


Borgen was the only Wildkat (6-7 overall, 4-3 in Northwest A) to reach double digits, with Maddy Barker finishing with nine. The Chiefs’ (7-6 overall, 4-3 in Northwest A) Kailyn Marengo matched Borgen’s game-high with 14 points, making two of the team’s three 3-pointers. 


Columbia Falls took a 16-10 lead after the first quarter and extended their lead to 28-16 by halftime. Nevaeh Perez scored 11 points, and Lauren Buhr added seven.
