POST FALLS — Art and water appreciators alike are invited to visit the Jacklin Arts and Cultural Center's new exhibit and sale, "By the Sea," which opens with a reception at 5 tonight.

"By the Sea" showcases art of oceans, seas, riverscapes, ponds and pools creatively interpreted by 20 local artists. The exhibit and sale will remain open through March 22 during regular business hours, concerts and events at the JACC.

Featured art includes oil, acrylic, pastel, mixed media, inks and watercolor paintings along with laser-cut wood, fabric and sculptural pieces.

This family-friendly event is free to attend.

Parking in the JACC lot and on surrounding streets is free.

New this year, the JACC will feature six art exhibits in place for about two months each. The next installation, "Strut Your Stuff," will open April 4.

The JACC is at 405 N. William St., Post Falls.
