COEUR d’ALENE — A local man accused of raping a woman was arrested in Spokane over the weekend and now faces extradition to Kootenai County.

Frank V. Cunningham, 40, of Coeur d’Alene, is charged with three counts of rape and three counts of video voyeurism, according to the Coeur d’Alene Police Department.

A woman contacted Coeur d’Alene police Jan. 31 to report that Cunningham had drugged and raped her multiple times.

“The victim found video evidence, recorded by Cunningham, and believes the videos may have been posted to the internet,” police said in a news release.

Detectives obtained a search warrant for Cunningham’s home and allegedly found evidence corroborating the woman’s allegations.

Police obtained a warrant for Cunningham’s arrest. Authorities located him in Spokane and arrested him Feb. 8.

The Coeur d’Alene Police Department encourages anyone with information related to sexual abuse allegedly committed by Cunningham to contact Det. Jesse Welch at 208-769-2293.
