Human remains found near Buffalo Bridge

According to a press release from Lake County Sheriff Don Bell, human remains were found near Buffalo Bridge last Tuesday morning.

The Lake County Sheriff's Office was notified at around 10:15 a.m. that a Tribal Fish and Game warden had located the remains of a human skeleton near the bridge, which spans the Flathead River west of Polson.

Sheriff/Coroner Bell responded to the scene with other sheriff’s office personnel, and confirmed that human remains had been discovered. The remains were sent to the Montana State Medical Examiner Tuesday for further investigation and identification.

The case remains under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff and Coroner's Office.
