PHOTO Prospecting Club starts in Mineral County

Clifton Greuter has started a Metal Detecting and Prospecting Club for those who want to prospect together and/or use metal detectors and look for treasures. Beginners and experienced alike are welcome as he has many places in Mineral County to scour and has a good history of the mines that closed. Library caps off youth summer program with SpectrUM
Summer may be winding down, but there was still plenty of excitement on the lawn of the Mineral County Library in Superior as kids gathered for one more afternoon of learning, laughing and enjoying each other’s company.
Cedar Creek history tour and potluck coming up
The 2026 Annual Historical Tour and Potluck will take place Saturday, Sept.12, giving longtime residents another opportunity to revisit some favorite pieces of Mineral County history while newcomers get a chance to discover the stories, places and people that helped shape the community they now call home.
