Report of high school students being unruly at a store. Report of violent incident on River Road in Hungry Horse. Police tasered a person in that incident. A caller said a neighbor was banging on a wall.

A youth with special needs was having issues.

Jan. 29

Head-on wreck on Highway 2. Injuries reported. Report of woman trying to break into a house to get her things. She agreed to come back later.

Report of a male and female having an argument in the parking lot of a store. The male threw the female down, based on video footage. A woman was allegedly being blackmailed over footage on her computer. Wreck on Highway 2. Airbags deployed as a Nissan Juke  collided with a pickup truck.

Feb. 1

Report of mother slapping daughter hard enough to leave handprint on her face. Report of structure fire on First Avenue West, . It was garbage on a porch and put out quickly by police. Report of car stolen in rural Columbia Falls. It was stopped and returned to owner.

Feb. 2

Possible chimney fire. House filled with smoke. A neighbor was miffed about dogs constantly barking. Said they would play loud bagpipe music if it didn’t stop. A bartender had a weird feeling about people who were there. They may have been on something.

Feb. 3

A white van was parked in a bank parking lot for over a week. A person suffered a compound fracture after falling on the ice on Highway 2. A drunk woman was punching things in the bathroom.

Feb. 4

A man said he was being harassed by a woman that wouldn’t leave him alone. Report of friendly labs running through a store with no owner in sight. Pickup went off Railroad Street through a fence and hit a shed. No injuries.

Feb. 5

Report of a 3-year-old being unattended while mom went to grocery store. Mother denied it.

Feb. 6

Reckless driver on 6th Street. Then another report on Fourth Avenue. Caller claimed a dog at a trailer was being neglected.

Feb. 7

Snowboarders off Talbott Road were advised to make sure car was completely off road at a small park. They complied and were told to have fun.

Feb. 9

A driver was arrested for DUI after parts of the Dodge 1500 truck and the birch tree it hit were recovered by police.
