Lady Bulldogs win District 7B Championship

Mission toppled Thompson Falls 53-51 for the District 7B Championship on Saturday, Feb. 22, in St. Ignatius. Cora Matt scored 15 points in the victory, crossing the 700-point career milestone mark.
Thompson Falls led 17-13 after one quarter, but Mission tied it up at 25-25 at halftime.
Shaedon Kain added 13 points to the Lady Bulldogs’ total, while Kason Page had 10 points.
Mission goes into the Western B Divisional Tournament with a 16-4 record and the No. 1 seed, while the Lady Bluehawks fell to 13-7 and will go into divisionals as second seed.
Last Friday, Mission held Superior scoreless in the third quarter and to just two points in the second half in a 62-13 District 7B matchup.
Mission led 41-11 at halftime and began the second half on a 14-0 run, aided by Kason Page who led the Lady Bulldogs with 17 points.
Mary Lamere had 15 points, while Shaedon Kain added eight points.
Superior fell to 9-11 on the season with the loss.

Ronan takes down Polson
The Maidens scored when they needed to thanks to a Nevaeh Perez three-pointer in a 42-35 victory over Lake County rival Polson on Saturday, Feb. 22.
Perez led Ronan with a double-double of 19 points and 14 rebounds. It was a career-high for her in points.
Ronan led 9-6 after one quarter and 17-12 at halftime. Polson cut the lead to four points in the third quarter, but the Maidens outscored the Lady Pirates by four points in the final stanza.
Polson pulled to within one point in the fourth quarter on a Rylee Taylor-Jefferson three-pointer, but Perez responded with a three-pointer of her own. Taylor-Jefferson led Polson with 15 points, while Samantha Rensvold had 10 points.
The win improved Ronan’s conference record to 8-3 and 11-6 overall, and the Maidens sit in second place in the conference standings.
Polson fell to 4-7 in conference play and 6-11 on the season.

Arlee falls in play-in game
Kaylee Tanner’s 17 points led Arlee, but the Scarlets fell to Darby 54-29 in the District 6B Play-In game in Darby on Tuesday, Feb. 18.
Darby led 13-7 after one quarter and went on a 17-2 run for a 30-9 halftime lead.
The Scarlets finished the season 1-16.

Charlo falls to Drummond In District 13C Championship
With their ticket punched to the Western C Divisional Tournament, Charlo fell to Drummond 44-30 in the District 13C Tournament in Frenchtown on Saturday, Feb. 22.
The Lady Vikings couldn’t overcome a slow start as they were down 21-11 at halftime, despite better play in the second half. Maddison Harris and Seeley McDonald led Charlo with 10 points.
Charlo fell to 16-4 on the season and will enter the Western C Divisional Tournament with a No. 2 seed, while Drummond goes into the tournament with a 12-8 record and will have the No. 1 seed. Drummond was led by Kimber Parsons’ 25 points.
Charlo got to the championship game by defeating St. Regis in the semifinals 57-34 and downing Philipsburg 39-30.

Two Eagle ends 2025 Postseason
Two Eagle bowed out of the 2025 postseason with a 43-42 loss to Victor in Western District 13C action on Wednesday, Feb. 19.
The Lady Eagles overcame a slow start that saw them down 14-6 to go into halftime with a 25-19 lead. Victor, however, chipped into the lead by three points in the third quarter and outscored Two Eagle 11-7 in the final stanza.
Dayani Piapot led the Lady Eagles with 19 points, seven rebounds, five steals, and two blocks, while Keke Tenas had 12 points and eight rebounds. Lexis Sparks also had eight rebounds and six steals in the matchup.
Two Eagle finished the year 3-16.
