August 26, 1959-February 19, 2025

John Lowell, a son, uncle, brother, and friend, was unexpectedly called home to his heavenly Father on February 19, 2025. 

John “Johnny” was born on August 26, 1959, in Leavenworth, Washington, to William 

Fredrick Lowell and Kathryn Lark Lowell (Smith). 

He was a member of the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged for medical reasons. He worked as a laborer throughout his life, often in the sawmills until he could no longer do so.

He was a kind person who helped others in need and was well-known in the homeless community.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Lowell; and sister, LaRai Carr (Watne). He is survived by his mother, Kathryn Smith of Post Falls, Idaho; brothers, Leroy of Hayden, Idaho, and Steve Lowell (Debbie Tidwell/ Lowell) of Friday Harbor, Washington; sisters Sharon Lowell of Friday Harbor, Washington, Linda Leonard (Hutchins) of Post Falls, Idaho, and Janice Graupner (Hutchins) of Naples, Idaho.
