MISSOULA — Reese Ramey scored a game-high 17 points and Glacier pulled away from Sentinel in the fourth quarter to claim a 65-34 victory in Western AA girls basketball Thursday.
Karley Allen and Cazz Rankosky added 10 points apiece for the Wolfpack (9-10 overall, 6-8 in Western AA games), Rylee Bigelow chipped in nine.
Allen scored all 10 of her points in the fourth quarter as the Wolfpack pulled away, outscoring Sentinel 27-8 in the frame.
“They did play well,” Glacier coach Amanda Cram said of the Pack. “We played so great tonight because we played as a team. Defense was a priority and got us going, really got us into some great offense. It was a great team effort.”
Ramey put in 10 in the first half before scoring seven in final eight minutes.
Glacier held Sentinel to just 13 points in the second half.
The win moves the Wolfpack into the Western AA play-in games as the No. 5 seed. Glacier will take on No. 4 seed Helena in the Capital City on March 6 for a chance to go to the state tournament.
“We’re looking forward to the challenge next week, knowing getting to state was part of our goal,” Cram said.
Callie Cross and Kaitlynn Hammett tallied nine points each to lead Sentinel (6-13, 4-10).
