COEUR d’ALENE — Police are investigating a gas station shooting that injured one person Friday.
Coeur d’Alene police responded Friday afternoon to a reported shooting at the 76 gas station on Appleway Avenue.
At the scene, medical personnel treated an individual who was “suffering from at least one gunshot wound,” according to police. The individual was transported to Kootenai Health for treatment.
An initial investigation indicates the shooting stemmed from a property dispute, police said.
By early Friday evening, the gas station was still cordoned off with crime scene tape and the public was not allowed to approach. Multiple police vehicles remained at the scene.
Anyone who was at the gas station when the shooting occurred is encouraged to contact the Coeur d’Alene Police Department.
