The Montana Department of Transportation and Battle Ridge Builders kicked off the New Year removing the truss from Bigfork’s Bridge Street Bridge Thursday, Jan. 2.

Excavation work is also underway, and crews planned to begin installing micropiles next. Micropiles are shafts of high-strength steel casings, rebar, and grout drilled deep into the soil for structural foundation support.

All work is subject to change due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.

Crews will be onsite Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

A camera feed to watch the construction also went live at https://bit.ly/BridgeStCamera
