Edna Grace Ward Reed
The Western News | UPDATED 1 week AGO
Edna Grace Ward Reed, beloved wife mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, went home with the lord Dec. 15, 2024, at 5:10 p.m., in Libby, Montana.
Edna was born March 5, 1951, in Rochester, Pennsylvania, to her mother Goldie May Loughter and father Charles Ward. She was an only child but was raised alongside her cousin Kathryn, whom she really saw as her sister.
Edna moved to Las Vegas in 1971. She married the love of her life Clarence (Bud) Reed on Dec. 31, 1972. She, with her husband moved to their home in Libby, Montana in 2005, to enjoy the beauty that they fell in love with after visiting years before.
Edna was a God-fearing woman who lived her truest self-doing as she felt the Lord would want her to do and provided care to many for years as she worked in the healthcare field. She spent many years with Bud at Craig Road Speedway and was even given the nickname, “Fred.”
She was happiest watching the hummingbirds drink from their feeders as she listened to her grandchildren grow up playing in her home and eventually her great-grandbabies as well.
Edna was preceded in death by her mother Goldie May; her father Charles; and her husband Bud. She is survived by her daughters: Tracie, Camie, Michelle and Rebecca; her sons: Robert, Steve, Kyle and Buddy; grandchildren: Aaron, Mathew, Noah, Adorabella, Aliveyonna, Nicoli and Sebastian; great-grandchildren: Ava, Sophia, Lacee, Jessica, Akira, Jaxzyn, Malikyi, Kylie, Emma, Serenity, Graceanne, Bentley and new baby Reed.
Arrangements are under the care of Schnackenberg Funeral Home of Libby. Online condolences and memories may be shared by visiting www.schnackenbergfh.com.
