David Lee Reynolds, 92, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025, at his home in Hope, Idaho.
Services will take place in the spring of 2025 and will be announced later.
Dave was born March 18, 1932, in Willits, Calif., the son of William KD and Helen Reynolds. In 1954, he would join the 25th Infantry Division, Hawaii, being discharged in 1956. Dave worked for United Airlines in San Francisco from 1953 to 1966. In 1966, he started Dolphin Realty in Pacifica, Calif.
He moved to his present home on the Hope Peninsula in 1969 and operated Reynolds & Reynolds Tax Service in Sandpoint with his brother Bob from 1970 to 1973. From 1974 to 1998, Dave operated Sommerfeld Realty office in Clark Fork. He also operated Lightning Creek Mobile Home Park and the mini storage in Clark Fork from 1984 to 2004. Dave was the co-founder of the Clark Fork School Booster Club.
Dave is survived by his son, Brian (Robyn) Reynolds; granddaughter Allyson Reynolds; grandson Austin Reynolds, all of Olympia, Wash.; and a niece, Cindy Lamoureaux in Fairbanks, Alaska.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Marian, and his brother, Bob.
