Logan Health will host its third annual stationary bike relay event in March to raise money for Montana children and young adults facing medical hardships.

The event, dubbed CycleMT, is slated to happen on March 8 at two locations: Flathead Valley Community College’s Wachholz College Center in Kalispell and the Joe Meagher Memorial Civic Center in Cut Bank. Both events begin at 9 a.m.

Registration for the event is now open, where teams of up to 10 riders can sign up to ride for 20 minutes on a stationary bike, with their distance tracked in real time. The teams are encouraged to raise a minimum of $1,500 through peer-to-peer fundraising.

“This event is a testimony to what we can accomplish when communities come together for a common purpose,” said Kevin Abel, CEO of Logan Health, in a Jan. 7 press release.

Since it began in 2023, CycleMT has raised over $200,000, money used for critical resources like adaptive equipment, therapy services and home modifications across the state.

“Every dollar raised translates into life-changing support for children and families across Montana. We’re incredibly proud to host this event and witness the difference it makes year after year,” Abel said.

All proceeds go toward a fund supporting Montana children and young adults under 21 — whether they are a patient of Logan Health or not — with medical hardships not covered by other means of funding.

Teams can choose to ride competitively for a series of prizes or just for fun. This year, officials hope to raise $100,000.
