Grapplers dueled with Libby twice last week

In wrestling last week, Libby picked up a 51-29 victory over Columbia Falls on Tuesday, Jan. 7 and a much tighter battle occurred on Friday, Jan. 10 at the Libby Duals with the Loggers winning again 42-38.

In the first dual matchup, Columbia Falls Dylan Delorme recorded a technical fall over Libby’s Boe Miles 17-2 at 157 pounds, while Winslow Peters scored a pin for the Wildcats at 175 pounds over Libby’s Hunter Rooney.

Rowdy Crump continued his impressive season, pinning Libby’s Tanner Wolfe at 190 pounds. Moving into the lower weight classes, Octavious Christianson won for Columbia Falls at 126 pounds with a pin over Libby’s Gabe Bassett in a minute. Bradley Beck also scored a Columbia Falls pin on Darrin Denton at 132 pounds.

In the second matchup, Libby won at 103, 110 and 118 pounds but Octavious Christianson won the 126-pound match for Columbia Falls with a 16-0 technical fall. Bradley Beck won at 132 pounds with a 22-6 technical fall over Libby’s Jeremiah Thomas.

After a Libby win at 138, 144 and 150, Tanner Williams picked up a forfeit for Columbia Falls at 150 pounds. Dylan Delorme won at 157 pounds, falling Hunter Rooney in 1:30. Winslow Peters also won, pinning Tanner Wolfe in 3:34 at 175 pounds.

Rowdy Crump defeated Iam Thom at 190 pounds, picking up a pin in 3:46. Adam Lolli also notched a 12-0 major decision at 215 pounds.
