Boys swim team wins Polson Invite

The Pirates won the team scoring while the Polson girls took third at the Polson Invite, held last weekend at the Mission Valley Aquatic Center.

In the boys 200-yard medley, Isaac Kinnick, Squid Moore, Truman Sawyer and Josh Reed took second (1:59.11). In the girls 200-yard medley relay, Polson’s Brinley Ricks, Kena Sutton, Amelia Stene and Adi Montgomery took fourth (2:30.82).

The boys won the 400-yard relay for Polson (3:40.01) thanks to the swimming of Isaac Kinnick, Boden Sloan, Lachlan Sloan and Teague McElwee.

McElwee won the boys 200-yard intermediate (2:05.96), while Dixie Montgomery took fourth in the girls 50-yard freestyle race (30.81) and Ricks was eighth (33.40).

Lachlan Sloan was first in the boys 50-yard freestyle (24.09) for Polson, while teammate Kinnick was second (24.86) and Moore was eighth (27.93). Kinnick also won the 100-yard boys butterfly (1:04.97) while Moore was second (1:16.61).

Amelia Stene was fourth in the girls 100-yard butterfly (1:10.31) and fifth in the girls 100-yard freestyle for the Lady Pirates.

Lachlan Sloan won again in the boys 100-yard freestyle (53.70) while Boden Sloan was second for Polson (56.79) and Josh Reed was sixth (1:03.65).

McElwee won the boys 500-yard freestyle (5:11.88).

Anastasia Hertz was fourth for Polson in the girls 500-yard freestyle (7:04.17). Lady Pirate teammate Dixie Montgomery was fifth (7:19.28) and Brinley Ricks was sixth (7:41.64).

The Polson boys won the 200-yard freestyle with the swimming of Josh Reed, Truman Sawyer, Lachlan Sloan and Teague McElwee (1:40.84). In the girls 200-yard freestyle relay, Polson’s Kena Sutton, Brinley Ricks, Dixie Montgomery and Grace Olson placed fourth (2:13.57). 

Grace Olson was third in the girls 100-yard backstroke (1:11.63) while Adi Montgomery was seventh (1:28.58). In the girls 100-yard breaststroke, Olson was second (1:30.42) and Anastasia Hertz was fifth (1:42.32).

Boden Sloan won the boys 100-yard breaststroke (1:16.30), while Josh Reed was third (1:21.11) for Polson.

In the 400-yard girls freestyle relay, Polson was third on the swimming from Anastasia Hertz, Dixie Montgomery, Amelia Stene and Grace Olson (4:41.44).
