Pauline Louise Bemis, 82, came into the world in Cortez, Colorado in July of 1942. She was the first daughter of Louie and Pauline Plemons. Louise attended college at Bob Jones University and received an education degree. She then taught first grade in Pensacola, Florida where she also attended Pensacola Bible Institute at night and that was where she met her husband, Nathan Bemis.

After marriage in 1968, Nathan and Louise pioneered churches in Mississippi and Colorado. In 1974 Louise moved with Nathan and their two young sons to Kalispell to take over the start-up, Bible Baptist Church. Over the next 45 years Louise would excel at her role as pastor’s wife and church secretary/accountant. She supported Nathan and her boys until they both semi-retired in 2015.

She was an amazing wife, mother, and servant of God who read her Bible through many times per year, prayed fervently, and shared her faith with all she encountered. She went to be in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Jan. 3, 2025.

She is survived by her husband, Nathan, sons, John and Joel, daughter-in-law, Karena, and her six grandchildren, Andy, Kellen, Kenna, Connor, Kerraline and Kelsea, as well as her siblings Ladora, Roy and Magaret.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Dixie, who welcomed her to heaven.
