A.J. Kent of Bonners Ferry was chosen as the messenger to carry Idaho's presidential vote to Washington, D.C. meeting of the four presidential electors in the office of Gov. C.C. Moore at Boise Monday noon.
The members of the Bonners Ferry Volunteer Fire Department have arranged to hold a Washington's Birthday dance at the Myers and Strom Hall. The dance is being given with a view of raising money with which to help buy an auto fire truck.
Richard Myers, a student in the commercial department of the high school has received a gold medal for speed and accuracy in typewriting. Last month he took the Remington 15-minute speed test and netted 83 words per minute.

James Paulsen was hired as County Prosecutor for the next six months.
A total of 116 entries were on hand last week for the W.S.R.A. snowmobile races last weekend at Caribou Raceway.
Badger wrestlers won their home meet against Kootenai 51-9.
Bonners Ferry Boxing Club's Tim Mercer won "Golden Boy" award in sub-novice tourney.

Katie Ennis has been chosen by Nova Model and Talent Scouts to represent Team USA for the World Championships of Performing Arts from July 17-25 in Hollywood, California.
The Boundary County Library is participating in the National Big Read Program for 2010.
The Panhandle State Bank 2009 Community Outreach Program has helped Valley View Elementary School buy new playground equipment for the pre-school and kindergarten center.
For a second year, Bonners Ferry High School defeated Sandpoint in the Moose Madness Spirit Competition.
