Tammy Marie Bailey
The Western News | UPDATED 14 hours, 22 minutes AGO
Tammy Marie Bailey (née Johnson), born April 6, 1971, left this world on Jan. 14, 2025, but not without leaving a mark that will never fade.
Born to Wesley and Mavis Johnson as one of seven children, Tammy’s journey was nothing short of an adventure. She reunites in Heaven with her parents and four of her siblings, Russell Johnson, Pam Smith, Clifford Johnson and Doug Johnson, who undoubtedly greeted her with open arms.
Tammy is survived by her husband and love of her life, Mitchell Bailey, her children Austin, Kody and Brandi, and her siblings Kim Gudmundsen and Kevin Johnson.
She was many things—a wife, mother, sister and friend—but above all, Tammy was a force of nature. Whether she was out at the lake, surrounded by family and friends, or dancing barefoot in the grass like no one watching, she reminded everyone to find joy in the moment.
In her final days, Tammy’s ICU room was a testament to her love of people and life, filled with visitors who couldn’t help but be near her. Tammy had a knack for making everyone feel at home and her sense of humor was legendary.
So, the next time you hear Fleetwood Mac, Adele or Stevie Nicks, don’t just listen—dance. Tammy wouldn’t have it any other way.
A celebration of Tammy’s life will be held this summer, where her family and friends will gather to honor her legacy and share the joy she brought to the world.
