Judge Henderson suspended on good behavior the jail sentences imposed on Stanislaus and John David, who had been arrested Saturday night on a drunkenness charge by Deputy Sheriff O.E. Collins. They said they had been drinking cider. 

The purchase by the city of the Moravia Power Company was authorized at the last meeting of the City Council. The consideration is about $2,600 and involves the poles, wires, transformers, and other equipment of the company, which was organized about two years ago to furnish light and power to residents of the South Bench, Moravia, and part of Drainage District No.1.

Local Realtor Monk Shelman was appointed this week by the County Commissioners to represent the county on the Wild and Scenic Rivers Study.
