Fourth of July festivities kicking off today

Starting today, Fourth of July festivities are kicking off across Kootenai, Benewah and Shoshone counties.
Today, Thursday, July 3
Coeur d'Alene Kids Parade: Begins at 10 a.m. at 10th and Sherman. No pre-registration required, categories include wheels, floats and costumes.
Fourth of July Kickoff, Kellogg: Parade begins at 4:30 p.m., followed by vendors, games, music in the park and an outdoor movie at 9:15 p.m.
Friday, July 4
Firecracker 5K, Kellogg: Annual run begins at 8 a.m. in the pool parking lot.
Bayview Daze: Pancake breakfast at Bayview Community Center from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., plus vendors set up by Bayview Marinas.
Coeur d'Alene American Heroes Parade: begins at 10 a.m. and will travel along Sherman Avenue. This year's theme is 'Home of the Brave.' Parade will be followed by Fourth of July Fest at City Park, with a fireworks show rounding out the day at dusk over Lake Coeur d'Alene.
Old Fashioned Fourth of July, Spirit Lake: Parade begins at 11 a.m.; begins at elementary school, no registration required to participate. Vendors, food and games at City Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and fireworks at Volunteer Park at dusk.
Harrison Fourth of July Celebration: Food and craft vendors, kids activities, live music and more starting at noon. Fireworks to conclude the celebration at 10 p.m.
Saturday, July 5
Bayview Daze: Parade begins at 11 a.m., vendors set up at Bayview Marinas. Fireworks display at Bayview Community Garden.
