The annual St. Regis 4th of July parade started at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Altogether, it lasted 35 minutes, with dozens of floats and hundreds of people in attendance lining Mullan Gulch Road.  (Mineral Independent/Amy Quinlivan)

Families came straight from the parade route to the St. Regis Community Park to enjoy free hot dogs, snow cones, popcorn, and drinks provided by the blue shirt volunteers of New Day Fellowship. The church puts on free kids games in the park each 4th of July, as well as providing the traditional pancake breakfast early the same morning, which was once put on by the local Methodist church.  (Mineral Independent/Amy Quinlivan)
