The sounds of summer are back with the Picnic in the Park Summer Concert Series in downtown Kalispell.

The concert series marks 34 years of bringing free live music and family-friendly fun to the community. Hosted at Depot Park by Kalispell Parks and Recreation, this long-running series features a diverse lineup of talented local and regional musicians every Wednesday at noon and 6 p.m. through Aug. 20.
“Picnic in the Park is all about community,” said Stephanie Brown, Kalispell recreation superintendent. “These concerts are a chance for friends and families to come together, enjoy great music, and celebrate summer right in the heart of Kalispell.”

Sponsors provide support to make the concerts free to the public.

“We’re so grateful to our sponsors who help make this possible,” said Brown. “Their generosity fuels the music, creates opportunities for local performers, and brings joy to thousands of people throughout the summer.”

Concertgoers can also look forward to visiting sponsor tables at many performances — an opportunity to learn more about local businesses and organizations supporting the series. Several sponsors will be onsite offering free children’s activities, and more.

Additionally, popular raffle drawings are returning this year, with items donated by local businesses and sponsors, including weekly Range Riders baseball tickets provided by Performance Real Estate. Proceeds from the raffles help fund future seasons of Picnic in the Park.

The series lineup includes on July 16 at noon the David Walburn Duo and at 6 p.m. the Randy Loveless Band; on July 23 at noon is Justin Harris & The Pocket Aces and at 6 p.m. is the Kenny James Miller Band; on July 30 at noon is the Glacier Symphony and at 6 p.m. is Josephy Martinez; on Aug 6 at noon is Rooted Heart and at 6 p.m. is Matthew Morris; on Aug. 13 is the North Valley Music School at noon and at 6 p.m. is Brent Jameson Duo; and on Aug. 20 at noon is Wylie Gustafson and at 6 p.m. is Wildwind.
