Kootenai River Days Returns to Bonners Ferry July 17–19

Downtown Bonners Ferry will come alive with music, chalk art, shopping and community celebration during the annual Kootenai River Days, scheduled for July 17–19.
Hosted by the Bonners Ferry Chamber of Commerce, the event features a packed schedule of festivities for all ages, mixing longtime traditions with local flavor.
The celebration kicks off on Thursday evening. Wine and craft beer lovers can join the Rotary Wine and Barley Walk, which starts at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are available at Mountain West Bank, Under the Sun and Riverside Auto. Chalk the Block, will be in full swing all day. Chalk the Block begins on Tuesday, July 15 and runs through Saturday, July 19.
On Friday, the festivities expand with area businesses hosting Crazy Dayz sales, running from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Chalk the Block continues, and downtown vendors will line the street from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., when the street will be closed to traffic. As the sun sets, the party heats up with a lively street dance featuring Jam Shack from 8 p.m. to midnight.
Saturday promises a full day of fun, starting early with the Kootenai River Run at 8 a.m., at the Boundary County Fairgrounds. Crazy Dayz continues and the farmers market will be open until 1 p.m.
Families can enjoy the free bounce house and face painting from 9 a.m. to noon, and don’t miss the Rocket Mortgage dunk tank, also happening during the morning hours. Hungry attendees can grab a popcorn snack from Beta Sigma Phi starting at 5 p.m. or enjoy ice cream floats sold by the Bonners Ferry High School cheerleaders from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Golfers can hit the green at the Birdies for Brothers Golf Tournament, teeing off at 9 a.m.
The event wraps up Saturday evening with an all-class reunion from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., accompanied by another exciting street dance, this time featuring country favorite Devon Wade.
With activities for kids, families, shoppers, music fans and food lovers, Kootenai River Days promises something for everyone in the heart of Bonners Ferry.
