Terry Ann Blakemore, 79

Terry Ann Blakemore, a radiant soul whose boundless creativity and grace touched countless lives, passed away peacefully June 7, 2025, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Born on April 9, 1946, in Great Falls, Mont., to Pauline Lidberg and George Lucero, Terry lived a life of extraordinary depth, passion and faith.

Terry was the beloved wife of John S. Blakemore, with whom she shared a beautiful life in Coeur d’Alene. A devoted mother to her son and daughter, and a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother to numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Terry’s family was her heart’s joy. She is survived by two siblings, whose love for her endures, and was preceded in death by one sibling.

A woman of remarkable intellect and talent, Terry earned two master’s degrees and pursued a diverse career that reflected her vibrant spirit. She worked in art gallery sales in San Francisco, taught in the inner-city schools of Oakland and brought beauty to countless spaces as an interior designer. As a painter, actress and musician, Terry’s creativity knew no bounds. She was a proud member of numerous art and culture associations, including the Coeur d’Alene Art Association, where she was honored to serve as president. Known as the “Woman of 1,000 Chances,” Terry’s grace was a gift that never wore out, inspiring all who knew her.

A world traveler with a bohemian heart, Terry embraced life’s adventures with curiosity and courage. As a born-again Christian and devoted follower of Jesus Christ, her faith guided her with unwavering love and compassion. Her legacy is one of artistry, kindness and an indomitable spirit that uplifted her community and beyond.

Terry is survived by her son and daughter, her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her two siblings. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John S. Blakemore, parents Pauline and George and one sibling.

A celebration of Terry’s life will be held July 20, 2025, at 4 p.m. at Hayden Lake Adventist Church, 12940 N Government Way, Hayden, ID 83835.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the Coeur d’Alene Art Association or a charity of your choice in Terry’s memory.

Terry Ann Blakemore’s light will continue to shine through her art, her faith and the love she shared with the world. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
