CITY OF DOVER, IDAHO SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE #190 ZONING REGULATIONS (TITLE 12) AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 6, STANDARDS OF ALL ZONE DISTRICTS, AND DEFINITIONS, APPENDIX D RECREATIONAL VEHICLE OCCUPANCY, STORAGE, AND PARKING ORDINANCE NO. 190 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DOVER, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE STATE OF IDAHO, AMENDING TITLE 12 (DOVER ZONING REGULATIONS), CHAPTER 6, STANDARDS OF ALL ZONE DISTRICTS, TO ADD NEW STANDARDS FOR RECREATIONAL VEHICLE OCCUPANCY, STORAGE, AND PARKING; TO ADD DEFINITIONS TO APPENDIX D FOR RECREATIONAL VEHICLE AND DWELLING; AND TO PROVIDE FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. SUMMARY: The City of Dover adopted Ordinance #190 amending Dover City Code, Title 12 (Dover Zoning Regulations), Chapter 6, and Appendix D to: confirm a Recreational Vehicle (RV) is not a dwelling; limit occupancy of an RV on a lot or parcel to a maximum of 30 days in a calendar year; limit the number of occupied RVs to two per lot or parcel at any given time; exclude stored, unoccupied RVs from the 30-day maximum; exclude the Agriculture zoning district from the occupancy and maximum RV limits; establish minimum setbacks for stored and occupied RVs; prohibit the parking of RVs in areas not designated for parking; prohibit structural extensions of RVs; require routine servicing of wastewater; disallow rental of RV units on a lot or parcel; allow temporary occupancy of an RV while constructing a home on the site; define a dwelling and RV; and to provide a savings clause, severability, and an effective date upon publication of this summary in one issue of the official newspaper.
