Naomi Goodwin, 87

Naomi Goodwin, 87, passed away peacefully in her favorite red leather chair on July 4, 2025, her favorite holiday.

She was born in 1937 to Janoka and Mazie Pound in Kalispell. She married Jay Goodwin in 1955 and had seven children by the time she was 26 years old. She also came from a family of seven children. 

She worked in the food and clothing industry for several years; this is where she became known as “Mother Fuzz.” 

She loved her happy "hour" where she enjoyed a glass or two. 

Native to Montana for 87 years and five generations before her.  

She is survived by six children: Gayle (Steve) Mason, Jerry (Elacia) Goodwin, Roger (Sandy) Goodwin, Steve (Cathy) Goodwin, Brenda (Bob) Ost and April (Mark) Perfitt. 

Also surviving her are 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren and numerous stepchildren and great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by Duane Goodwin and surviving wife, Pam.  

She has now joined her husband, Jay, in heaven, where they will celebrate their 70th anniversary.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16, at Conrad Cemetery.
