OTHELLO — A Royal City man was killed when he was ejected from the pickup he was driving about four miles west of Othello Saturday evening. Jesus Carlos Villa, 38, was killed when his truck rolled after he apparently ran off the road and overcorrected. Villa was driving west on West Cunningham Road at about 9:15 p.m. when he drifted off the road, according to a release from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office. Villa apparently tried to steer back on the road and overcorrected, the release said.
The truck spun around and rolled back across the roadway, hitting a utility pole and coming to a stop in a wheatfield. Villa was thrown out of the vehicle.
The crash is still under investigation.
