Derril Dern, 86, a lifetime resident of the West Valley Community, passed away May 19, 2025, at Heritage House in Kalispell. He was born on March 13, 1939, in Kalispell to Clifford and Amber (Clark) Dern.
He is survived his sister, Darlene Adams, nephews, LeRock and Shayne Adams, Justin Copley, nieces, Amy Tubbs, Tammie and Shannon Adams and brother-in-law, Gary Copley. Survivors also include stepdaughters, Regina Foster-Grinestaff and Kim Hughes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Patricia, sisters, Janice Copley and Beverley Tubbs, brothers-in-law, Erwin Adams and Mitchell Tubbs, nephew, Marcus Adams and his son, Marcus JR, and stepsons, Daniel and Larry Foster.
A celebration of life will be held at Woodlawn Park Pavilion on July 29, from 3:30-6:30 p.m. Buffalo Hill Funeral Home is caring for the family.
