Geraldine 'Fern' Smith, 73

Geraldine Fern (Campbell) Smith, 73, of Dalton Gardens, Idaho, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 28, 2025. She was born to Darrell W. Campbell and Ruth E. (Rife) Campbell in Newport, Wash., on March 25, 1952.
Fern was preceded in death by her parents, Darrell and Ruth, her brother, Darrell Campbell (Junior), and her beloved grandson, Theo Smith. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ken Smith, son Keith Smith and his wife, Pam, daughter Denise Davis and her husband, Elliott, and five grandchildren: Luke Davis, Jacob Davis, Benjamin Smith, Charlotte Smith and Beatrice Smith.
Fern and Ken met at Newport High School and were married June 28, 1969. She moved from Oldtown, Idaho, to Wisconsin, on to California, then to Spokane, Wash., and on to Nashville, Tenn., before returning home to North Idaho, and residing near Coeur d’Alene in Dalton Gardens.
She had served in ministry with her husband, Ken, for the past 40 years. Fern really loved the Lord, really loved Ken, really loved her children and grandchildren, and really loved the church. Fern really lived!
Her Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 19, at 2 p.m. at Calvary Chapel Lighthouse, 650 W. Lancaster Road in Hayden, Idaho. For more information, call 208-762-3777.
