Joe passed away peacefully June 9, 2025, after choosing to discontinue dialysis treatments, which he endured for a number of years. He was born in Fairbanks, Alaska, in 1962.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Marie Hepsak. He is survived by his brothers, Richard, Norman and Rocky, and his sisters, Sharon and Donna, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
After spending time in Alaska, Oregon, Washington and Nevada, he moved to the Cd'A/Post Falls area. He worked at the local Cd'A radio station under the name Joe Rodgers for a time. He also worked as a bartender in Cd'A, as well as at Kimball Furniture in Post Falls, for a number of years.
As he requested, no services were held; he was cremated and has been returned to Alaska.
