Marvin Johnson, 88

Marvin Lee Johnson was born Nov. 13, 1936, in Scottsbluff, Neb., and died July 6, 2025, at age 88 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
"Marv" is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Joyce Johnson; two sons and daughters-in-law: Steven and Allison Pohl, and David and Amy Johnson; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Ray and Beverly Johnson; sister and brother-in-law Elaine and Rick Boyle; one niece, four nephews; aunt Betty Hinman and uncle Harry DeRock; along with numerous cousins.
Marv was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Ethel Johnson of Davis, Calif.
Following high school, Marv served in the Army National Guard and worked at Montgomery Ward in Scottsbluff, Neb. After a move to California, he was employed by Heidrick Farms and Adam's Grain as a financial controller in Woodland, Calif., where he retired. After a short stint with Lawson Real Estate in Woodland, he became a USPS rural route carrier in Santa Maria, Calif., then in Burney, Calif., where he again retired and moved to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
A private family celebration of life will be held at the church Marv and Joyce attended, Lake City Community Church in Coeur d'Alene. At his request, Marv's ashes will be scattered on Lake Coeur d'Alene.
