The Northwest Montana History Museum presents the 1951 psychological thriller, “Strangers on a Train,” July 22 for Movie Night at the Museum.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Jacob Thomas, host, educator and former museum executive director, will provide opening remarks about the film, which starts at 7 p.m.
Directed by a master of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock adapted the film from the novel by Patricia Highsmith. “Strangers on a Train” depicts the tumultuous relationship between tennis star Guy Haines (Farley Granger) and psychotic socialite Bruno Antony (Robert Walker) as they decide to trade murders.
Disaster ensues when Bruno completes his end of the bargain and expects Guy to do the same. What follows is a chilling descent into obsession and psychological terror.
The museum is located at 124 Second Ave. E., Kalispell. Admission and popcorn are free. Soda, water, beer, and wine are available for purchase. Seating is provided, but viewers are welcome to bring their own.
