Lois Mae Erickson, 90

Lois Mae Erickson was born in Ohio County, Kentucky, to Cephas Issac and Ora Lee Vance. She was the fifth of six children. Lois passed peacefully June 14, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. She was 90 years old. She lived in her home in Mullan for 70 years. Lois met William Allen Erickson (Bill) in July 1954. They were married Sept. 11, 1954. They had four sons: Owen, Larry, Eugene and Billy. Her beloved Bill passed away in 2013.

Lois was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was known for her kindness, love and dedication to her family and community. She was a homemaker and a stay-at-home mother. Lois’ greatest loves were her family, flowers, art, knitting, crocheting and sewing. She was an avid reader.

Lois is survived by her sons: Owen (Lavada), Larry (Corrie), Gene, Billy (Julie); five grandchildren: Issac, Nicole, Travis, Ricky and Steven (Lacey); two great-grandchildren: Veora Mae and Charley Grace; and numerous nieces and nephews, including: Mike (Carol) Murray, Jerry Murray, Matt (Katy) Murray (all of Mullan), Vicky (Allen) Erickson, Jennifer (Seth) Samsel, Chad Erickson, Matt Hahn and Cheryl Wolfson.

Lois was predeceased by her parents (Cephas and Ora Vance), her beloved Bill, two sisters and three brothers. 

As per Lois’s instruction, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to local causes and/or take a walk — enjoy the trees and wildflowers.
