Sierra Taylor Dean, 30, of Kalispell, passed away in May 2025. Daughter of Kristine Wimsett and Kim Dean. She was a beloved mother, spouse, sister and friend, whose presence left a lasting imprint on those lucky enough to truly know her.
She is survived by her four children, Liam, Lillia, Evelyn, and Miles, and her sister, Kelsie. Her greatest passion in life was her children, whom she’ll always love with her whole heart. They were her light, her purpose, and her greatest joy.
Sierra will be remembered for her unique sense of humor. She had a persistent strength, a generous heart, and she gave of herself freely to those she cared about.
As much as she loved her time growing up in Washington, Montana was home in the truest sense for Sierra. She found peace in its beauty and took joy in the simple, quiet moments that life in the valley could offer.
Sierra faced more challenges in her life than most. She fought addiction with courage and perseverance, and though it was part of her journey, it was never the whole of her. Her story is one of complexity, but also of tenacity, loyalty, and love. She was more than her struggle—she was a woman not afraid to speak her mind, a kind soul. A free spirit that could anchor her loved ones during rough seas. She was comedic relief. She was stubborn optimism. She was a light fighting to break through the darkness. She was so much to so many—and will be so loved and missed.
In Sierra’s memory, her loved ones encourage understanding and support for those facing addiction, and a commitment to seeing the full human behind every struggle.
