Summer Durand Stack, 38
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 5 months AGO
Summer Dawn Durand Stack of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, was called home by our Lord on July 6, 2025. Summer was born Aug. 5, 1986, to Joe Durand and Judy Williams. Her energy and wittiness were second to none.
She brought joy and laughter everywhere she went. She was the queen of flowers; she could never have enough petunias. Summer married the love of her life, Jeremy, in 2014. Summer's most precious joy in life was the day her daughter was born. When Taylor was small, Summer and Jeremy would take her to volunteer at soup kitchens. Her favorite song with her daughter was "Be Alright." Her favorite Bible verse was Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Summer will be missed dearly by all who love her.
Summer was preceded in death by her father and stepmother, Joe and Sheila Durand, her grandfather, Vern Durand, her grandmother, Lorraine Snider, her aunt, Renee Kirby, her uncle, Russ Williams, and her father-in-law, Keith Stack.
She is survived by her husband, Jeremy Stack, daughter Taylor Stack, her mother, Judy Williams, half sisters Amanda Gutenberg, Tara Krauss, Leanne Allemang, grandmother Julie Durand, aunt Stacey Rae, Patty Lamere, Madeline Rickman, uncle Tony, and Troy Williams, Alan Durand, brother-in-law Christian Stack, mother-in-law Kerri Flom, cousins and nieces.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 26, at 4 p.m. at Christ the King Church, 1700 E. Pennsylvania Ave., in Coeur d'Alene.
