Colleen R. (Bont, Grube) Mitchell, of Whitefish and Orchard Park, New York, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully at 82 years old. Born Feb. 9, 1943, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Colleen lived a life defined by friendship, hard work, and her ever-present smile.
She was a retired medical insurance underwriter who loved to travel and experience life in the great outdoors.
Colleen is survived by her sons, Brian Grube (Georgia) and Derrick Grube, her sisters, grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by her family, lifelong friends, and all those whose lives she impacted. Her memory will live on in everyone she touched and all who knew her smile.
A celebration of life memorial service is planned for Saturday, Aug. 2, at 1:30 p.m. at the Orchard Park Presbyterian Church, 4369 South Buffalo St. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Logan Health Hospice in Whitefish or The Springs of Whitefish in Whitefish.
