Grove ties for seventh at Rosauers

SPOKANE — Former North Idaho College men’s and women’s golf coach Russell Grove, now the head men’s coach at Eastern Washington, finished tied for seventh at the 38th Rosauers Open Invitational on Sunday at Indian Canyon Golf Course. 

Grove shot a final-round 68, 3-under par, and finished at 10-under par 203, four shots back of the winner. He shot earlier rounds of 68 and 67.

PGA Professional Daniel Campbell of the Belllingham Golf and Country Club shot a final-round 66 and finished at 14-under 199, good for a one-shot victory and a check for $10,000. University of Puget Sound coach Conner Robbins and amateur Andrew Von Lossow each shot 67 on Sunday and ended up tied for second at 13-under 200. 

Jess Wingett of The Highlands, the former Post Falls High golf coach, shot 68 on Sunday and finished tied for 19th at 7-under 206. 

David Christenson from The Golf Club at Black Rock tied for 26th at 5-under 208, after rounds of 73-68-67.
