It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Linda Mae Davis at her home in Sandpoint, Idaho, on July 7, 2025, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was born Linda Mae Johnson on Feb. 24, 1947, in San Diego, Calif., to Wally and LaVera Johnson. She graduated from San Diego State University and enjoyed teaching first and second grade in Escondido, Calif.
In 1970, she met the love of her life, Bob Davis, and they married June 26, 1971. They enjoyed over 50 years together before his passing.
Linda and Bob moved to Sandpoint in 1977 with their daughter, Becky. Linda was an amazingly talented artist and her home is a reflection of that talent with beautiful paintings, oil and watercolor, as well as her charcoal drawings. She loved painting with her friends and sister, Carole, as well as teaching people to paint.
She was a loving and doting mother, wife and friend with the gift of making people smile and laugh. Both Linda and Bob loved having their hands in the dirt, always creating beautiful flower and garden beds. She also enjoyed cutting flowers and sharing them with her friends.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Becky (Davis) Shelton; son-in-law Alex Shelton; sister Carole Hughes and husband Ed; niece Debbie Lewis-Musch and husband Carl, nephew Daniel and nephew Greg; and their families.
Linda is proceeded in death by her husband, Bob Davis, in 2022; and parents Wally and LaVera Johnson.
