Scherbert earns degree from UM Global Campus
Ethan M. Scherbert of Bonners Ferry, earned Master of Science President's List honors in cybersecurity technology from University of Maryland Global Campus in winter 2025. To qualify for the prestigious President's List at UMGC, students must have graduated with a cumulative grade point average of 4.0.
Scherbert was one of nearly 900 students who earned degrees from UMGC in the winter 2025 term.
University of Maryland Global Campus was founded more than 75 years ago specifically to serve the higher education needs of working adults and military servicemembers. Today, UMGC is the largest provider of postsecondary education in Maryland and continues its global tradition with online and hybrid courses, more than 175 classroom and service locations worldwide, and more than 135 degrees and certificates backed by the reputation of a state university and the University System of Maryland.
Madeline Jones named to SNHU dean's list
Madeline Jones of Bonners Ferry has been named to Southern New Hampshire University's Spring 2025 dean's list. The spring terms run from January to May.
Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the dean's list. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired eight-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer.

LeTourneau University announces spring 2025 president's list
Jonathan Geyman of Bonners Ferry has earned a spot on the LeTourneau University spring 2025 president's list. He is majoring in electrical and computer engineering at the Longview, Texas. The president's list recognizes students who have achieved a perfect 4.0 grade point average for the semester to receive this honor.
LeTourneau University President Dr. Steven D. Mason said being named to the president's list is, indeed, a significant achievement and honor.
"As the comprehensive Christian polytechnic institution in the country, LeTourneau University attracts students who are among our nation's best," Mason said. "I'm especially impressed with these honor roll students, and I expect them to have a significant impact on our future."
