It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Tanner Wiles. Tanner passed away unexpectedly July 2. The cause of his death is still unknown. Tanner is survived by his mother, Robin Wiles; father Paul Wiles, brother Hunter Wiles and Kassandra Woodall, his niece, Kennedy Wiles, and nephew Sawyer Wiles, his aunt, Renee Street, and cousin, who he grew up with, Dakota Street, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Tanner was born June 23, 1991, in Monterey, Calif., and passed July 2, 2025. Having lived most of his life in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He graduated from Lake City High School (2009), North Idaho College (Associate of Science, 2012) and the University of Idaho with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology (2016). Tanner worked at the family restaurant, The Breakfast Nook, after college and was a customer favorite because of his sunny personality and friendly demeanor.

Tanner was a lovable character who had many different interests and hobbies. He was a video game master; he loved World of Warcraft, and we think he was a dungeon master in Dungeons and Dragons. He was an avid and eclectic collector of vinyl albums (1000s), old video game consoles and VHS, DVD and blue ray movies. Movies that he could recite line by line.

Tanner was funny, interesting and a very kind soul, but the thing he loved the most was his family and friends. He would entertain them with his jokes and his ukulele. Tanner will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of life will be held Aug. 3, 2025, at 2 p.m. at the River of Life Friends Church, 3263 E. 12th Ave., Post Falls, ID 83854.
