Olaf Oleson, who said his home was "anywhere" was arrested Monday night by Marshal J.A. Worley, on a drunkenness charge. Tuesday morning he was fined $25 by Justice of the Peace Kent, who in pronouncing sentence, gave one of the most scathing lectures ever delivered in a local court.
Mrs. Jennie Keith had an experience last week while picking huckleberries , that was unusual and thrilling, to say the least. She was gathering huckleberries on the slopes of Queen Mountain and had wandered away from other members of the party until she had no knowledge of their whereabouts. While picking along she noticed a large grouse making a peculiar fuss and then saw a large cougar pounce on the bird and devour it not more than 20 feet from where she stood. The animal leisurely ate its meal and then slunk away into the woods.
