In Loving Memory of Faye Marie Freeman
August 1938-July 22, 2025
Faye Marie Freeman, 86, passed away peacefully in Monroe, Washington, surrounded by her family.
Faye was born in Kalispell and spent her early years there attending Deer Park and Boorman schools. After graduating from Flathead High School in 1956 she married Frank Duane Freeman and they had four children together. Faye was involved in her children’s lives. She was a 4H leader teaching sewing and cooking. She worked various jobs over the years and proudly retired from the Kalispell Area Chamber of Commerce in 2003. She was a familiar face in her community and was honored to serve as the Grand Marshal of the Northwest Montana Fair Parade.
Faye had a deep love for her family, friends and outdoors. She found joy in gardening, traveling, and most especially in hiking the beautiful trails of her local area with her hiking group. She also loved spending time on the Oregon coast.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Ekholm of Monroe; Donna Wood (Garry) of Snohomish, Washington; Connie Moore of Fairbanks, Alaska; and Glen Freeman (Renee) of Philomath, Oregon. She also leaves behind her siblings, Robert Managhan (June) of Spokane; Thelma DiCiocco of Kalispell; Richard Managhan (Ana) of Gig Harbor, Washington; and Patty Binegar of Houston; along with nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Faye was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Frank Duane Freeman; her parents, Ray and Bernice Managhan, her brother, Ray Managhan Jr. and son-in-law, Michael Ekholm.
A celebration of Faye's life will take place in Kalispell at a later date.
