KELLOGG – Last week, 40 middle school athletes hit the field for a four-day football camp hosted by the Kellogg Junior Tackle Football Program. The camp ran from July 14–17 on the upper fields behind Kellogg High School.

Players spent the week sharpening their skills on both sides of the ball. Drills focused on fundamentals—linemen worked on footwork, backfield players drilled ball security, and receivers practiced stalk blocking and route trees to prep for the upcoming season.

This fall marks the first official season of middle school football sponsored by the Kellogg School District. The coaching lineup includes Assistant Coaches Ryan Seaton, Dolph Hoch, and Nathan Corkill, with Kyle Hudson and Martin Munoz stepping in as volunteer coaches. Shanon Pooler will lead the team as Head Coach.

The season kicks off August 11, with practices scheduled from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. Pre-season workouts are already underway.

If you have a student-athlete interested in joining the team, reach out to Head Coach Shanon Pooler at [email protected].
