Bonner County Daily Bee | UPDATED 4 months, 3 weeks AGO
Toad the Wet Sprocket, the beloved alternative rock band from Santa Barbara, Calif., first captured audiences in the late 1980s with their heartfelt lyrics and melodic sound.
Area residents and music lovers alike will have a chance to hear their music for themselves as the band takes to the Festival at Sandpoint stage today, July 26.
Rising to prominence with albums like Fear (1991) and Dulcinea (1994), they became known for hits such as “Walk on the Ocean,” “All I Want,” and “Good Intentions.” Their ability to blend introspective songwriting with catchy, folk-influenced rock has cemented them as a lasting presence in the music world.
Throughout their career, Toad the Wet Sprocket has maintained a deep appreciation for their dedicated fanbase, whose unwavering support has allowed them to continue making music on their own terms. Whether through live performances, new recordings, or reimagining classic tracks, the band remains committed to delivering music that resonates with longtime listeners and new audiences alike. Their connection with fans is at the heart of everything they do, making every tour and release a shared experience.
In 2025, Toad the Wet Sprocket will be on the road once again with their Good Intentions headline tour, joined by Semisonic, KT Tunstall, and Sixpence Non the Richer, bringing their signature sound to audiences across the country. In addition, they are putting the finishing touches on an acoustic greatest hits album, set for release later this year.
Joining Toad the Wet Sprocket will be The Jayhawks and Sixpence None the Richer.
Over the course of almost four decades, the Jayhawks have crafted 11 albums, countless memorable live shows, and enough personal drama to fill a couple of Behind the Music episodes. The beloved band has soared to heights few ever achieve while winning the hearts and minds of numerous critics, fans, and peers in the process.
Sixpence None the Richer is an American alternative rock band best known for their hit single “Kiss Me”, which reached no. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was a top-10 song in sixteen countries. “Kiss Me” continues to rise in popularity, regularly appearing in Shazam’s weekly Top 200 songs, going viral on TikTok, and frequently appearing in film, television, and advertisements worldwide. In July of 2024, "Kiss Me" was RIAA certified 3-times platinum.
The concert will be a standard show, meaning that the area in front of the stage is a general admission dancing and standing area.
General admission tickets are $57.95 (before taxes and fees). General admission gates open at 6 p.m. with music starting at 7 p.m.
