Eleanor Louise Carle, 88, of Kingston, Idaho, passed away July 25, 2025, at Mountain Valley of Cascadia Health and Rehabilitation in Kellogg, Idaho. Eleanor Louise was born Jan. 12, 1937, in Wardner, Idaho, a daughter of the late Amos and Eleanor (Sandow) Frisbee.
Eleanor attended Kingston school until her marriage to Laural Alvin Carle in February 1953. Eleanor Louise Carle will be remembered for her many years of working at the HiCo.
She enjoyed arts and crafts, especially quilting. Eleanor Louise also enjoyed spending time outdoors, loved fishing and working in her garden. Eleanor Louise was an avid reader. She was a fiercely strong and independent woman who loved her family immensely. Eleanor Louise will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents and husband, Laurel Alvin Carle, Eleanor Louise was preceded in death by two children, Alvin (aka Pete) Carle and Pam Cambell.
She is survived by four children, Robert (Ramona) Carle of Post Falls, Idaho, Cheryl (Jim) Banks of Smelterville, Idaho, Connie (Larry) Shrock of Kingston, Idaho, and David (Loleta) Carle of Spirit Lake, Idaho; two sisters, Dorothy Erickson of Pinehurst, Idaho, and Rose Krieger of Kellogg, Idaho; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends and family may gather at Shoshone Funeral Services, 106 S. Main St., for visitation Monday, July 28, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m. and again Friday, Aug. 1, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m. Inurnment will occur at a later date in Hunt Cemetery, Kingston, Idaho.
