Wilburn was 2 for 2 with two RBIs for the Coeur d’Alene 11U team in the deciding game of a best-of-3 series for the state championship on July 19 at Lake Hazel Middle School in Boise. In the postseason, Wilburn struck out 25 in three games pitched, including seven in the first game against West Valley. “Quinton was able to show the rest of the state what we already knew about him,” Coeur d’Alene coach Jesse Lenz said. “With the win in the first game, Q was able to lead the team in the other two games with his bat and great defense.”
