The Glacier Twins wrapped up their American Legion baseball season with two hard-fought games at the Class A District Tournament in Whitefish, falling to Bitterroot and Libby to end their 2025 campaign with a 6-29-1 record.

On Thursday, the Twins nearly staged a comeback against Bitterroot, scoring four runs in the third inning to take a brief lead. Trenton Derosa delivered a clutch two-run double, while West Amerman chipped in an RBI single. Glacier recorded five hits in the contest, including doubles from Derek Juntunen and Nolan Amerman. On the mound, Treyson Murphy pitched the first three innings, allowing five runs (four earned) on six hits. Derosa kept Glacier in the game with three scoreless innings of relief, but the Twins couldn’t muster another rally, falling 5-4.

In Friday’s elimination game, Glacier once again showed flashes of offensive firepower, plating four runs in the second inning against Libby. Derosa added two more RBIs to his tournament total, while Keaton Simpach and Kiernan RK each drove in runs. However, six errors proved costly as Libby surged ahead late and pulled out a 10-6 victory. Dawson Juntunen pitched into the fifth inning, surrendering just two earned runs despite Glacier’s defensive struggles.
